Adult Safeguarding – our annual webinar for trustees and senior managers

This year our annual safeguarding webinar will run from 11am till 12noon on Thursday 7th November 2024. Offering care providers some particularly relevant and concise updates, the agenda will include:
- Safeguarding under the new CQC inspection framework – issues most commonly highlighted in published assessments.
- Key trends from NHS England adult safeguarding data 2023-24.
- An update on learning from Safeguarding Adults Reviews (SARs).
The webinar will also hear from NCF member Mencap about the difficult situations that can arise where commissioners are reluctant to fund the level of care and staffing that a care provider believes is needed for a person’s safety and wellbeing.
The webinar will be led by Peter Cheer, who has worked as an independent consultant since 2015 with a particular interest in safeguarding. Peter is independent chair of the Safeguarding Board at Midland Heart Housing Association, and has undertaken a wide range of work related to safeguarding for care providers .
