Bringing Movement, Joy and Connection to Care Homes

Cricketqube delivers inclusive and engaging sports sessions in care homes across the UK, tailored specifically for older adults and those living with long-term conditions such as dementia and Parkinson’s. While our name reflects our roots in cricket, our sessions go far beyond the bat and ball. We incorporate walking cricket, badminton, tennis, strength and balance exercises, flexibility routines, and cognitive games, all designed to improve mobility, coordination, mental wellbeing, and social interaction.

Our fully adaptable sessions are run by trained coaches who create safe, stimulating, and fun environments. They bring life to underused spaces and transform residents’ everyday experiences. We were recently featured on BBC Look North for our work at Eothen Care Home Group in Newcastle. Here is what Shiela, 82, had to say about our sessions, “enjoyable, friendly, competition! The camaraderie was great. A wonderful opportunity to socialise with people!”. Shereen Brewer, Activity Co-ordinator,

Eothen Care Homes, Gosforth said, “all the residents have improved, but there is a handful with mobility problems or not confident in mixing with others – we have seen a massive change in them.”

Whether it’s helping someone rediscover a love for sport, boosting confidence in mobility, or simply encouraging laughter and connection, Cricketqube is proud to be part of enhancing quality of life in care settings.
