Sustainability and Green Care driven by our members
Mission Statement
Together with our members, we envisage a greener and more sustainable future for care for providers and those receiving care and support. Our ultimate aim is for our members to become sector leaders, driving forward environmental sustainability in not-for-profit care.
As well supporting member organisations embarking on journeys towards sustainability with resources, funding opportunities, peer-learning, case studies, and the sharing of data and knowledge during regular forum meetings, NCF will be working to understand how to embed green policies into our own internal strategies and operations.
We are also advocating for greater support from the government to facilitate the greening of the sector, both funding and other resources, as well as push for research in environmental sustainability for social care to support best evidence based, value for money practice.

Environmental Sustainability Community of Practice

We have launched a new network for our members to add to our existing range of Communities of Practice.
Alongside the regular briefings, notion forum and knowledge library, there are regular forum meetings where members get together to collaborate, share learning and update on projects and opportunities.
Next forum meeting: 24th May 2024 at 12:00 -13:00
We’ll be joined by colleagues from the UK Health Security Agency who will share their insight as part of a discussion on climate change driven risks, such as increasing adverse weather events, and how to plan ahead.
