At 86, Sam from Quantum Care is living proof that adventure has no age limit! When he tackled the longest zip wire in England, he did it with a huge smile and a burst of excitement. Quantum Care really means business when it comes to getting active, and Sam embraces every challenge with joy and energy.
Christine Williams: A Heartfelt Nominee from Mencap
Christine Williams, a dedicated and hardworking staff member at Mencap, has been nominated for the NCF Christmas Advent Calendar 2024 in recognition of her amazing contributions. Since joining Mencap in March 2020, Christine has shown incredible dedication, especially in tough situations. She went above and beyond to help an individual whose benefits were denied, successfully securing their reinstatement and back pay. During severe flooding in the Chipm area, when many staff members couldn’t make it to the service, Christine worked tirelessly for 22 hours straight to make sure the individuals in her care were supported. Her unwavering presence provided comfort and stability when it was needed most. Selena Kelly, who nominated Christine, celebrates her consistent, caring support, making her a truly deserving nominee for this special recognition.
