Jeremy Miles, the Welsh Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care attended the event and discussed adult social care in Wales as well as the current challenges that face the sector. The Cabinet Secretary also discussed the Welsh government’s ambition for a national care and support service for Wales which would build upon their National Office for Care and Support which was set up last year.
Also on the agenda was an update from a representative of each nation, a talk on Digital, Data and AI introduced by our Director of Digital Transformation, Beverly Futtit, and talks on Developments in the UK towards net zero.
The event served as an important reminder that collaboration, discussion and shared learning across nations is vital to the process of improving adult social care.
